In my opinion the 292 6 may have more low end torque (1500 rpm and lower) than any standard gasoline V8 that chev built in a production vehicle. From what I have seen in very low RPM lugging power they will out torque a big block. They are very impressive to me. WebDec 25, 2013 · Add 7.5 psi to a 100hp engine and you will get 150hp or add 15 psi and get 200hp. So if you can get your 250 cid engine to 200hp and boost it to 7.5 psi, you will get 300hp. But the important thing is the torque is also multiplied. 300 ftlb will go to 450ftlb with 7.5 psi of boost. multiplier is (boost + 14.7)/14.7.
